Game 58: Senators 7, Mets 3

The Senators plated a run in four of the first five innings and behind stellar bullpen work by three relievers and a clutch three-run home run by Josh Johnson with two outs in the eighth inning, Harrisburg garnered the 7-3 victory over the Binghamton Mets in this morning's getaway game.
Johnson, Archie Gilbert, Chris Rahl, and Bill Rhinehart contributed the early inning RBIs. On the day, Johnson ended up 3 for 5 with two runs scored and four runs batted in while Steve Lombardozzi was the only other Harrisburg starter with more than one hit. Activated off the disabled list prior to the game, Shairon Martis made his first start since late May and earned his third win on the season as he pitched well allowing three runs through five innings limiting the Mets to only three hits while striking out eight. Jimmy Barthmaier (let me re-check that...wow...yeah, Barthmaier), Rafael Martin, and Zech Zinicola worked the last four scoreless innings.
The Sens return home tomorrow for a the start of a three-game series against the Akron Aeros with a Flatscreens & Fireworks Friday.
